Frank Wuest Jr.
Frank C. Wuest, Jr. died unexpectedly at home in Greenwich, CT on Monday December 4, 2017 at the age of 82.
Born on December 7th, 1934 in the Bronx, NY, Mr. Wuest lived life with integrity and compassion. After serving in the United States Navy during the Korean War, he married his teenage sweetheart Gail Avery in 1959 and moved to Greenwich where they have lived for over 50 years. A devoted husband and father, he often worked as many as three jobs, and spent 43 years working for the New York Telephone Company, while Gail raised their 4 children, Frank, Chris, Avery and Kirk. Blessed by a close community of family and friends, he was an active member of the St. Paul Parish in Greenwich, serving as an usher for many years. He was passionate about woodworking and maintaining his impeccable garden and home. A quiet man, he lived with purpose and set an example of a life well lived for those who knew and loved him. He was known for his dignity, strength and love for his family.
Mr. Wuest is survived by his wife Gail Avery Wuest, son Chris and daughter Avery Horne of Greenwich, CT, son Kirk and his wife Kim Nibblett of Oakland, CA, and daughter in-law Lyn Duncan of Boston, MA, grandchildren Christopher, Catherine, Madison, Ethan, Cole, Samuel and Alexandra. He is also survived by his sister Edith Foster of Warminster, PA, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Ellen Scullin, and son Frank Wuest.
Visiting hours will be held at Castiglione Funeral Home, 544 Old Post Road #3, Greenwich, CT on Friday December 8th from 4 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul Parish, 84 Sherwood Avenue, Greenwich, CT on Saturday December 9th at 11:00AM.
