Tindara Spadaro (DiBella)
Tindara DiBella Spadaro was born on September 8, 1927 (her recorded birth was the following day) to Angela Caminiti and Santi DiBella in a small town in Sicily, Furci Siculo.. She was named for the Madonna of Tindari whose feast day is celebrated that day and a wonderful church is in the town of Tindari (located along Sicily's northern coast). Gianni DiBella (deceased) was her older brother. She married Domenico Spadaro in 1953 (deceased) and had three children, Venera (married to John Wethington), Frank (married to Kim Spadaro) and Santo. Her greatest joys were always her grandchildren; Lauren, Tom and Chris and great grandchild, Grayson. Tindara's passion for cooking and sewing was known throughout the neighborhood only surpassed by her sense of freedom when driving her Jaguar. She did not go far but it was enough. Tindara has passed on to her family and friends a family foundation steeped in Italian culture. Charity was a big part of her life and she would continue to give all she had so that we never wanted. We will celebrate her life every day and hope to set the same kind of example for the generations to come.
