Charles J. DiAngelo, Jr., Owner In Memorium 1948-2004

Alisa DiAngelo, President

Alisa DiAngelo was born into the funeral service, the daughter of Charles and Elaine DiAngelo. Alisa was raised in Greenwich and graduated from Greenwich High and worked in the travel industry for many years before coming to work at Castiglione.  She became President of the funeral home in July 2019. Her attention to detail makes her a valuable asset to the funeral home staff.  Alisa is a proud member Glenville Veterans Club Woman’s Auxiliary and a communicant of St Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich. She also frequently volunteers for charities that benefit children in need as well as participates in walks to benefit Abilis and the Walk for Hope, which benefits Breast Cancer Research.  She is the dedicated wife to her Husband Dan Caruso, who assists the funeral home in the parking lot and loving mother to her daughter Sophie and stepsons Jack and Patrick.

Joseph Murray, Manager

Joseph Murray is a second generation funeral director and has been around the funeral business his entire life.  He has worked in the industry for the past 15 years and has been a licensed funeral director for almost 7 years.  Joseph always felt a calling to help people and decided what better way to help people than during one of the worst times in someone’s life. Being licensed in both New York and Connecticut, he wanted to come back to Greenwich to where his career started. Joseph lives in the Bronx, NY with his beautiful wife of 10 years and their adorable 10 month old daughter.

Elaine DiAngelo, President Emeritus

Elaine Onuska DiAngelo was born and raised in Greenwich and graduated Greenwich High school. She married her high school sweet-heart, Charles in 1969. Elaine pursued a career as a hairdresser for some years before entering the banking industry. When she and Charlie purchased the Castiglione funeral home in 1989 she joined him in the office. When Charlie passed away in 2004, Elaine took over the day to day operations of the funeral home with her daughter Alisa and her daughter Amy who now lives in Florida. Elaine retired in July of 2019, but still can be found around the office, assisting when she has time. Elaine is active in charities for Dogs and children. Elaine is a parishioner of St Mary Church in Greenwich. She is the devoted Grandmother to Sophie, Jack, Patrick, Charleigh and Ryan.

Joseph Salvatore

Joe Salvatore grew up in Greenwich and graduated from Greenwich High. Joe has been a member of the staff of Castiglione since 1989 when his uncle Charlie and aunt Elaine purchased the funeral home. Joe is a familiar face to the families we serve and warmly greets every person who enters our funeral home for visitation and services. Joe lives in Stamford with his wife, Bernadette and his daughters Taylor and Alexandra who resides in Massachusetts.
